The Google Nexus S is basically the same as a Samsung Galaxy S. This Google Nexus S review will show, though, that it comes with some good additions and changes. It comes with the latest Gingerbread version of Android, which is 2.3, and one of its many attractions is the huge range of quality apps that are compatible with the model. To enable it to effectively run the latest and greatest apps, it is powered by a 1GHz processor combined with 16GB of internal memory and ample RAM as well.

The camera is fairly standard, coming with only five megapixels, but is also capable of producing true HD video at 720p. The major flaw with the Galaxy S’s camera was a lack of a flash, which has been rectified by the Google Nexus S. The interface has been upgraded, with a better keyboard and support for multi-touch as well. Another aspect that distinguishes this phone is it support for the Near Field Communication (NFC) technology that allows the phone to access data from any other device containing an NFC chip in close proximity.

The raw power of the phone enables it to be truly multi-tasking, allowing you to watch videos, visit sophisticated internet sites and run high-end games as well. A 1500mAH battery means that compared to similar smartphones, battery life is excellent. Super AMOLED is used for the screen, resulting in a clear, bright and easy-to-read display. The size of the screen is nearly a third larger than the current iPhone, with a 480 * 800 pixel resolution.

There are some drawbacks to the phone with its build-quality lacking when compared to the iPhone. It also lacks the ability to extend memory with a micro SD card, but as it has 16GB already this should be adequate for most people, so look for some great Google Nexus S deals if you are interested.

When you are looking for a reliable source of information on the latest offering by HTC, Motorola, Samsung or Sony Ericsson, where do you go? When you need a good, up to the minute review of a mobile phone, there are many options available.

Recombu is a ideal example of a website featuring the latest breaking news and information on popular mobile phones, such as the HTC Radar 4G, Motorola’s Droid Razr and Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus. It has up to date mobile phone reviews and comparisons. The comparison tool provides information on important features, such as the internal memory space, camera resolution and flash. The guide also informs the consumer on the size and weight of the phone, a useful feature for people who prefer to shop online instead of going into a phone shop.

Recombu is the obvious choice when it comes to learning about the latest developments in mobile phone technology. There are reviews on all the newest releases from the leading players in the industry, whether it is an entirely new phone or an upgrade to an existing model.

Have you heard the latest? Do not be left out in the cold when it comes to getting the latest scoop on new technology, for example a Samsung Galaxy Nexus review.

Not often does a mobile phone review look seriously at the design of a new phone, analysing the progression that a mobile phone company, such as Samsung, goes through. Users do not often feel well informed about radical changes from previous designs. However, if a consumer wants to make a well-informed purchase, this information is essential.

What about how Samsung Galaxy Nexus’ 1.2GHz Texas Instruments dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM stacks up against the opposition? Is the touch screen top of the line? Does the 4.65-inch, 1,280 x 720 Super AMOLED HD screen spoil the user with its clear, hyper-vibrant colours, superb definition and contrast capabilities? In order to explore this information, use the tools provided by search engines and mobile phone news websites, such as Recombu, to find out.

It is recommended that the camera specifications be checked before any purchase is made, as this is often a feature that can impress or disappoint consumers. Check if the camera is up to standard; make sure you know what do with a 1,080p HD video capture and playback function and the enhanced video capabilities of Android 4.0.

Explore additional features, such as 4G LTE, Bluetooth 3.0, NFC support, GPS, digital compass, barometer, custom apps for synching between other mobile devices, your PC, laptop or tablet, facial recognition, robust security and encryption and a longer lasting 1750mAh battery.

Offered by Samsung mobile phones is the Google Nexus S, a high end, high spec smartphone powered by Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) for a super high quality all-round service. With sleek good looks, a glossy finish and an unusual curved casing, the Google Nexus S delivers on aesthetic appeal as well as performance levels.

The second Google branded phone to be brought out by Google, the Nexus S offers all the high quality apps you would expect from a smartphone running on the most up to date Android version, and the sheer functionality and features combined with a vivid and brilliant Super AMOLED display screen make this a winner on many counts. Supporting Adobe Flash, the browser is highly fast and efficient and apps such as Google Maps load incredibly quickly.

The four inch capacitive touch screen rivals that of the iPhone 4, and also offers an auto-rotating function. Excellent connectivity combined with brilliant entertainment features such as a five megapixel camera, integrated video player and a variety of music options that support music formats including MP3, FLAC, AC3 and WAV all add to the massive appeal of the Google Nexus S.

Android sat nav apps are second to none on the Google Nexus S, including assisted GPS with navigation. Up to 100,000 Android apps are available to download, all running at high speed and quick to load. Battery life, 16GB of in built memory, and noise quality are all rated as excellent on the Google Nexus S, which has actually come down in price since its initial launch, making it one of the most appealing smartphones available today.

Offered to the market by Samsung mobile phones and one of two Google branded phones, Samsung’s Google Nexus S is an outstandingly rated phone. Powered by the latest Android 2.3, also known as Gingerbread, the Google Nexus S promises to deliver on many counts. Offering an incredible 100,000 apps to choose from, this is one of the new generation of smartphones and in many respects one of the best on the market.

The Google Nexus S contains vast amounts of inbuilt memory, and is powered by a super-fast processor, the 1GHz Hummingbird. Offering an improved keyboard and some popular Android features, such as Wi-fi hotspot and multi-tasking, the Google Nexus S is one of the fastest phones currently available. It is exceptionally smooth to run and includes cutting edge features, such as an integrated graphics processing unit.

As you would expect from Samsung mobile phones, the Google Nexus S is a good-looking handset and is beautifully designed with a curved glass screen. This has been specially designed to fit snugly into the palm of a hand, and also to follow the contours of your face when using the phone. A high contrast bright screen adds to the appeal of the Google Nexus S. This clever handset also supports Adobe Flash and has fast loading pages. It even has a noise reducing function, which is highly effective when using the phone in busy and noisy areas.

The Samsung Omina 7 is Samsung’s first attempt at a Windows 7 phone and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. The huge 4-inch super AMOLED display is superb and the 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and HD video-recording capabilities mean that the Omina 7 is a real heavyweight of smartphones.

As you would expect, the Omina 7 comes with a 1GHz processor, as with many premium smartphones, and 8GB of internal memory. Surprisingly, the phone does not come with a MicroSD™ expansion slot, a big disadvantage when many phones today have at least a 32GB capability.

As Windows phones are relatively new it is perhaps unsurprising that the app marketplace is not as comprehensive as Android’s or as varied as Apple’s. This can be annoying for users who are not prepared to wait for Windows to catch up, although judging by the size of the company it should not be long before it does.

Samsung mobile phones has fitted a massive 1500mAh battery to the Omina 7, and claims that it has up to a 390-hour standby time and a 6-hour talk time. Given the problems HTC has had with its poor battery life, the Omina 7 could well steal some disgruntled customers from the Taiwanese giants with its battery capabilities.

The Samsung Omina 7 is simply a triumph for smartphones and the first attempt at producing a Windows 7 phone has yielded promising results. While the app market is not the biggest, nor the best, owners of the Omina 7 are sure to be rewarded for their patience.

South Korean technological manufacturer Samsung has been at the forefront of consumer electronics and services since 1938 and is worth an estimated $294 billion. Samsung mobile phones are regarded as one of the manufacturer’s key product lines, helping the company rank as the second most successful mobile phone producer, behind Nokia, with a 20% market share.

In order to attempt to fight off competition from the emerging markets such as China and Taiwan, Samsung has recently launched a range of new products. Smartphones such at the Omina 7 and Galaxy S have ensured Samsung retains its massive market share and remains the second largest mobile phone manufacturer.

Samsung, of course, is not known solely for its mobile phones. In the TV segment, Samsung has been the number-one manufacturer of TVs since 2006. In regards to the LCD TV sector, it has dominated for eight years up until now.

One key reason for the success of Samsung phones is their ability to adapt and cover multiple bases. For example, while most smartphone manufacturers run a certain operating system on their models, whether that is Android, Windows or Symbian, Samsung employs numerous systems across its range. This means market trends can be followed and consumers can be confident they have the operating system they want.

While emerging nations are keen to exploit cheap labour costs and economic uncertainty in order to further their products, Samsung is working harder to ensure that it remains at the peak of technological advancements.

The Google Nexus S is among the best Android phones to be released. The phone is light, easy to hold, and boasts a 4inch screen with superb functionalities. The display is great, sites show clearly and users are allowed to switch the screen off.

Positive
It runs on Android 2.3 (Ginger Bread) making things like Google Maps, loading apps and accessing multipart websites a lot quicker. The call quality is good, and is further enhanced by noise cancelling.

Features include Adobe Flash support, 5mp camera with led flash, video calling, WI-FI, v2.0 USB port, 16 GB internal memory, audio and visual players, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth (v2.1 with A2DP) and the ability to instantly share videos on YouTube, Twitter and other social sites. The battery life is also good.

Negatives
The camera is not as high quality as one would expect, the body is a bit flimsy in comparison to other phones of its grade, and for its price. Also, people may be initially overwhelmed when organizing the phone because not even the most basic features are on the main page. Users will have to sift through and differentiate 3g apps from Wi-Fi ones to drag and drop to construct the list. SIM to phone contact transfers may be difficult for some users and reception problems are possible (though network dependent)

Conclusion
Despite being complicated, the Google Nexus S is a really good phone. Looking at speed, clarity and the ability to withstand excessive use without freezing (rarely crashes), it offers a good performance for its price.

What’s new in the mobile phone market changes almost as often as we change our socks; so it can be a full-time job keeping up with latest trends. With so many new handsets coming out, we thought we would take advantage of the time spent to compare the latest mobile phones by providing a list of nine of the most popular smartphones for 2011. So here we go, in no particular order:

• Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc – impressive hardware, compelling good looks, good photography and one amazingly fantastic screen make this phone highly desirable.

• Samsung Galaxy S2 – the original was great; the sequel is amazing. 4.3inch Super AMOLED screen and dual-core processor are just the beginning.

• LG Optimus Black – sleek and lightweight design, 4inch NOVA display, and Android 2.2 all combine to make an east to use, efficient, and affordable smartphone.

• Motorola Atrix – one step closer to mobile computing, the Atrix features 1GHz processor, 1GB RAM and a built-in desktop OS. Docking stations round out the experience.

• HTC Incredible S – the first UK offering to provide a 4inch touchscreen, the Incredible features Sense UI and a high-quality screen.

• Samsung Galaxy Ace – excellent budget ranged offering with 800MHz processor and Android 2.2 OS.

• LG Optimus 2X – dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 8.0 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording and Android 2.2. Great phone, especially for video.

• HTC Desire S – Taking over for its predecessor, the HTC Desire S is the Desire and a little bit more.

The Omnia 7 is not a revolution in mobile phone technology. However, it is a solid phone, depending on what exactly the buyer is looking for.

Samsung Omnia 7 reviews note its similarity to other phones. It closely resembles the Galaxy S. It has the same button layout, the same 5 megapixel camera, and the same battery, even the same screen. Reviews also note two important differences, however: firstly, it lacks microSD expansion, limiting its storage to 8GB for life. Secondly, it is metal wrapped, rather than plastic backed like the Galaxy S. This gives a sleeker, more expensive feel to it.

Reviewers lauded the feel of the Omnia 7, as well as the design. It fits nicely in the palm and can be used left or right handed with equal ease. There is one unappealing aspect of the physical design though. The power button is located on the top right side where it could all too easily get pushed accidentally.

Aside from the issues already mentioned, there is not much to complain about and plenty to like. The phone is solid. It can play decent quality sound without much distortion. It also comes with a useful news and weather application, called Now, that is unique to Samsung. The photo sharing app is also solid. It lets users upload pictures taken with the phone and share them online. Taking those pictures should be no problem with the phone’s built-in camera function.
