Picking a new smartphone
If you are in the market for a new smartphone, how can you make sure you pick the right one?
Looking at online mobile phone reviews will give you a good idea of what is available in the market right now, and what might appeal to you. It’s all too easy to be swept away by an exciting headline, so you need to spend some time thinking about what you really want and what your realistic budget might be.
The major headline-grabber in the smartphone world is clearly the Apple iPhone, its latest incarnation being the 4S, though the older models are still available. This phone has wide appeal, but it’s not for everyone – what else is out there?
The Samsung Galaxy S2, for example, is often hailed as one of the best in the market, with a very clear screen, attractive super-slim design and very fast processor. The HTC Sensation XE runs on the Android operating system just like the Samsung, and offers a high quality camera as well as a fast processor and good battery life, and previous HTC handsets such as the Desire have proved extremely popular and robust. The Sony Ericsson Experia Ray boasts an ultrasharp screen at a price point a little lower than many of its comparable competitors.
Blackberry smartphones are another credible alternative, with the Blackberry Bold 9900 offering a high resolution screen above Blackberry’s traditional physical keyboard, making this a good choice for those needing to frequently write emails or texts on the go.
