In today’s tough economic times, it is important for everyone to look for that extra bit of cash to pay for the bills and taxes. And if you are a mobile phone user and you do not know that your old mobile phone can be recycled, then you are definitely passing up a very easy chance to make some good cash for mobile phones.

It is a fact that recently there has been an increase in the number of companies that are entering the mobile phone recycling business. Companies like Envirofone, Earth Mobile and Mazuma will take your old, unused mobile phone units whether they are working or not.

Selling your mobile phone is a relatively easy process. When you decide that it’s time to purchase a new mobile phone, you can sell your old unit by looking up one of the phone recycling companies online and typing in your old mobile phone’s name and manufacturer. The recycling company will give you an offer which you can then accept or reject. If you accept it, the company will send you a padded envelope which you will use to put your phone in and send back to the company. After that, the company will perform a series of tests to confirm whether you deserve the offer for your phone or you should be paid less. In any case, payment will be sent to you in a few days.

More and more mobile phone users, particularly in the UK where most of these phone recycling companies are located, are realizing how important it is to have their old mobile phones recycled and how much they would lose if they simply threw those phones away.
